The Kennedy Center Honors, the classiest awards show in town, has announced their honorees for their 31st annual event. This year's recipients, who "redefined the way we see, hear and feel the performing arts", are:- Legendary rockers Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend of The Who.
- Academy Award winning star of stage and screen Morgan Freeman.
- Grammy Award winning country music singer/songwriter George Jones.
- Modern dance pioneer and Tony Award winning choreographer Twyla Tharp.
- And the one, the only Miss Barbra Streisand.
UPDATE: The Kennedy Center Honors will be broadcast on December 30 on CBS. Presenters and performers include Jack Black, Garth Brooks, Glenn Close, Clint Eastwood, Beyoncé Knowles, Idina Menzel, Kelli O'Hara, Queen Latifah, Lily Tomlin and Denzel Washington.
